Security and Defense Forces have launched a missile strike on military targets in the Russian city of Belgorod, according to the source in the special services.
"These are joint measures in response to the barbaric shelling of Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, and the killing of civilians. The actions are ongoing," noted the source.
The ineffective operation of the Russian air defense has already caused damage to the civilian infrastructure of the city.
Explosions in Belgorod on December 30
The Belgorod region of Russia is located near the border with Ukraine and borders the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Luhansk regions. Russians often complain about attacks in their border regions.
Today, on December 30, at 14:10, the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced shelling in the city center. In particular, he claimed alleged hits in the civilian sector. Other Russian Telegram channels also reported strikes near the "Mayak" shopping center.
Particularly, Russians claim four casualties as a result of incoming strikes.
Currently, an air raid siren is sounding in the city.
