Drone attack on oil depot in Russia's Kaluga region: What is known
Unknown drones attacked an oil depot in the Russian Federation on the evening of January 17. This time, it was in the Kaluga region, according to Russian Telegram channels.
It is reported that the drone attempted to attack an industrial enterprise in the city of Lyudinovo. According to eyewitnesses, the debris fell onto the factory grounds, and firefighters are currently working to extinguish the blaze.
According to the SHOT Telegram channel, around 9:00 PM (Kyiv time), several explosions were heard over the city, after which a fire broke out near the local oil depot.
As reported by the Governor of Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, the UAV attack has caused a fire at an industrial facility.
"An operational group is working at the site, along with rescue services. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties," he added.
It is worth noting that Lyudinovo is located nearly 180 km from the Ukrainian border.

Several factories are located in Lyudinovo, including a machinery, foundry, and diesel locomotive building plant. Last year, in April and May, drones attacked the Kaluganefteprodukt oil depot there. Sources from RBC-Ukraine reported that these were operations carried out by the Defense Intelligence.
On the night of January 14, there was a large-scale drone strike on targets across several regions of the Russian Federation. Explosions were reported in Bryansk, Saratov, Tula regions, and in Kazan.
Later, it became known that Ukraine carried out the largest strike on the Russian Federation since the beginning of the full-scale war. Several factories, air defense bases, ammunition depots, and other targets were hit.
