On the night of May 1, the Russian city of Tuapse again came under attack by unknown drones. Moreover, this is already the fourth attack in a short period with consequences, according to Russian Telegram channels.

According to a statement by the head of the Tuapse municipal district, Sergei Boyko, a drone threat warning for the district was announced on April 30 at 18:54 (Kyiv time).

The warning has not been lifted, and around the start of the new day (Kyiv time), Russians began complaining about the sounds of explosions in Tuapse.

Russian Telegram channels claim that at least 10 drones have already been shot down, and no serious consequences or destruction on the ground have been observed so far.

At the same time, OSINT publications report that the Tuapse oil refinery and the seaport (terminal) have once again come under drone attack. Moreover, after the strike, a fire broke out at one of the suspected impact sites, which is visible in footage published on social media.

There have been no official comments on the consequences yet.

This night, unknown drones also attacked the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol in the Zaporizhzhia region. There, preliminarily, a Russian ammunition depot was hit.

The operational headquarters of Russia's Krasnodar Krai confirmed that, as a result of the drone attack, a fire broke out on the territory of the sea terminal.

Attacks on Tuapse

During the month of April, the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out three series of massive drone attacks on the oil refinery in Tuapse. As a result of these attacks, over 60% of the port's logistical capacity was destroyed, and oil refining units were also damaged.

Due to these strikes, Tuapse experienced large-scale fires and severe toxic smoke on three occasions. Against this backdrop, on April 28, it became known that local authorities, for the first time since the attacks began, announced an urgent evacuation of the population. In addition, a spill of petroleum products into the Black Sea caused an environmental disaster.

By the way, the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, recently reacted to the attacks on the Tuapse oil refinery for the first time. He did not notice any serious threats from such attacks, but labeled Ukraine's targeted strikes on facilities in Russia as terrorist. Putin claims that Ukraine is resorting to such tactics because it is allegedly losing territory every day.
