The Russian army attacked civilians during a bread distribution at the border in the Chernihiv region. A car with bread was hit by fragments, according to the National Police press service.
According to law enforcement, the attack occurred in one of the border villages in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district.
"While people were distributing bread in the village center, invaders carried out a cynical drone attack. Fortunately, no one was injured. Shrapnel hit a car carrying bread," the statement says.
Police documented the consequences of the enemy attacks, and investigators have initiated a criminal case under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of the laws and customs of war).
"The enemy continues to treacherously shell the peaceful population at the border. Therefore, the police urge people to evacuate to safer communities within the region," the statement adds.
