Dnipro strike: energy crews work to restore power to homes

Repair crews are working to restore Dnipro’s power grid following an overnight strike by Russian forces, according to Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov.
According to the mayor, electricity is gradually being restored to homes that lost power due to the strike.
"Energy crews are doing everything possible to speed up the process. In the meantime, residents can charge their phones and devices at ‘Points of Invincibility.’ The city has set them up at Lyceum No. 126 and Gymnasium No. 112," Filatov said.
The mayor also noted that the water supply in residential neighborhoods has been fully restored.
City maintenance crews have cleared 230 tons of glass, broken tree branches, and debris from the streets.
Strikes on Dnipro and region
During the night of June 7, Russian forces launched drone and missile strikes on Dnipro and Pavlohrad.
Ukrainian air defenses shot down six missiles and about 30 Shahed drones. Residential buildings, garages, and vehicles were damaged in the cities.
Additionally, on Saturday evening, Russian forces struck the Mezhova community in the Dnipropetrovsk region with guided bombs, damaging a kindergarten.
