Denmark and Sweden ready to fund US weapons for Ukraine

Denmark and Sweden have expressed readiness to support the supply of US weapons to Ukraine through NATO funding, with both countries pledging financial contributions, according to Sky News.
Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen stated that US President Donald Trump's decision to supply American weapons to Ukraine with funding from European countries shows that the United States has "joined the right side... and would hand over the Patriot systems, if they can be financed."
He added that Denmark will also make a contribution.
Meanwhile, Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson said his country also welcomes the US decision. He noted that Sweden will contribute to supplying weapons to Ukraine.
US-NATO agreement
On July 14, the United States and NATO reached an agreement to supply American weapons to Ukraine, funded by European countries.
According to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, the deal will enable Ukraine to receive a large number of air defense systems, missiles, and ammunition.
Media reports indicate that the US will not directly supply weapons to Ukraine. Instead, NATO countries are expected to deliver arms from their own stockpiles and later replenish them.
Trump also announced that 17 Patriot systems are being prepared for delivery to Ukraine and are expected to arrive within days.
