Deep Strike on Russia: Ukraine attacks two of enemy's largest oil facilities

Units of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have struck strategic oil and refinery infrastructure in Russia. Notably, the Moscow Oil Refinery, located 450 km from the Ukrainian border, was targeted, according to the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF).
"The Unmanned Systems Forces, in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces, carried out a Deep Strike on a number of strategic oil and refinery infrastructure sites in Russia. In particular, USF operators targeted the Moscow Oil Refinery, located 450 km from the Ukrainian border," the statement said.
Additionally, an attack was carried out on the Stalnoy Kon (Steel Horse) line production dispatch station, located 170 km from the Ukrainian border. This is one of Russia's largest oil terminals, responsible for managing technological processes along the Druzhba main oil pipeline and storing petroleum products.
What is known about the Moscow oil refinery
The Moscow Oil Refinery (MOR) is one of Russia’s largest enterprises in the oil industry, located in the capital. It has the capacity to process up to 11 million tons of oil per year, supplying Moscow and surrounding regions with up to 50% of their fuel needs, including gasoline and diesel.
The refinery is a strategically important asset for Russia’s economy and transportation infrastructure. Damage to the Moscow Oil Refinery could disrupt fuel supply and increase domestic oil product prices.
What is known about the line production dispatch station
The Stalnoy Kon line production dispatch station (LPDS) is located in Russia's Oryol region and plays a key role in the operation of the Druzhba oil pipeline. The station manages technological processes for oil transportation, regulates crude oil flows, and oversees the pipeline system connecting Russia with Europe.
This facility holds strategic importance as it facilitates oil deliveries to the Ust-Luga marine terminal in the Leningrad region, from where Russian crude is further exported. Strikes on the Stalnoy Kon LPDS could significantly impact oil transportation logistics and reduce the efficiency of Russia’s energy infrastructure.
Massive drone attack on Moscow
On the night of March 11, residents of Moscow and the surrounding region, as well as several other areas in Russia, reported an attack by unidentified drones. The attack resulted in destruction and casualties. During the strikes, Russian authorities imposed the Kover (Carpet) protocol, grounding flights at all Moscow airports.
Later, Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed a large-scale drone strike on Russian territory.
More details on the overnight drone assault on Moscow can be found in RBC-Ukraine’s report.
