Debris of Russian Mi-8 helicopter found in Kamchatka: No survivors
The debris of an Mi-8 helicopter was found in Kamchatka, Russia. All those on board were killed, according to the Russian media.
Russian media reports that the helicopter debris is located on a peak at an altitude of 900 meters. According to preliminary data, the helicopter may have crashed into the mountain in dense fog.
Russian authorities have stated that 17 bodies have already been found. The search operation has been suspended until September 2.
However, propagandists claim that everyone on board the Mi-8 was killed.
It is known that the helicopter carried Arseniy Zamyatin, the financial director of the Russian Football Union, as well as his wife.
What happened before
On August 31, it was reported that a Mi-8 helicopter disappeared in Kamchatka, Russia. The helicopter belonged to the airline Vityaz-Aero.
The helicopter disappeared from the radar after takeoff. A search operation was initiated by Russian authorities. There were 22 people on board—three crew members and 19 passengers.
On August 15, a Tu-22M3 bomber crashed in the Irkutsk region of Russia. Russian authorities stated that the cause of the crash was a technical malfunction.
