At least 14 people were killed in Russia's large-scale overnight attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region on July 6. Despite the attack, dozens of civilians were rescued, according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.

"Overall, the Russian strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region has already claimed the lives of 14 people. The identification of those killed is still underway. Nearly 60 more residents were injured, including five children," the minister said.

According to him, 64 civilians were also rescued.

In the capital, around 30 residential buildings sustained significant damage. In the Podilskyi district, a missile strike destroyed part of the entrance section of a high-rise apartment building. Five people were killed there, and more than 30 others were injured.

In the Darnytskyi district, a missile struck a courtyard between residential buildings. Six people were killed in the strike. Rescuers pulled 28 people from the rubble, including two four-year-old children.

The situation in the Kyiv region remains difficult. According to the latest data, three people were killed as a result of the Russian attack.

In Vyshneve, residents began to be evacuated from the danger zone due to the risk of a secondary detonation. So far, more than 500 people have been temporarily evacuated until the emergency response operation is completed. In addition, specialists are inspecting damaged private homes to make sure no victims remain trapped under the rubble.

Due to the danger facing rescuers, robotic equipment and aircraft have been deployed for the emergency response. Canine search teams and explosive ordnance disposal specialists are also working at the sites.

Psychologists from the National Police and the State Emergency Service have already assisted more than 100 victims.

Mobile service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been opened in Kyiv's Darnytskyi and Podilskyi districts. There, people affected by the Russian attack can restore lost documents free of charge or deregister vehicles destroyed.
