Death toll in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia rises to three after Russian drone attack

Three people were killed as a result of a Russian drone strike on Zaporizhzhia on Tuesday evening, January 20, according to a Telegram post by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
According to preliminary data, the Russian forces killed a married couple — a 48-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman. The third victim was their 57-year-old neighbor.
At least six private houses were damaged, and three cars were burned.
"Due to the enemy strike, nearly 1,500 customers were left without electricity. Restoration work will begin as soon as the security situation allows," Fedorov said.

The State Emergency Service states that the number of injured is being clarified. All those wounded are receiving medical assistance.
As a result of the attack, a residential building and three vehicles caught fire in one of the districts, covering a total area of 50 square meters. Emergency responders extinguished the fire.

Attacks on Zaporizhzhia
On the night of January 18, the Russian army attacked Zaporizhzhia using a group of strike drones. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out in a residential area. Throughout the night, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration repeatedly reported the movement of enemy drones in various districts of the city.
The day before, late in the evening on January 17, occupation forces attacked the Zaporizhzhia district. The strike caused a fire, and the town of Vilniansk was temporarily left without electricity. According to Ivan Fedorov, boiler houses were operating on generators, while a centralized water supply was maintained using backup power.
On the morning of January 17, the enemy again struck Zaporizhzhia with drones. The attack sparked a fire and damaged one of the infrastructure facilities. The head of the regional administration published photos from the scene, showing the extent of the destruction.
