The Russian army attacked Zaporizhzhia with a drone on the evening of Tuesday, January 20. A private house in the city was destroyed, and there is one fatality, according to the Telegram account of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration (OVA) head Ivan Fedorov.

According to preliminary information, the enemy strike on Zaporizhzhia damaged private houses.

"Houses were destroyed, and a fire broke out," Fedorov reported.

It was also reported that one woman was injured.

Later, Fedorov confirmed that a person was killed as a result of the attack.

"Cars caught fire, and one of them had a person inside. Unfortunately, it was not possible to save them. All emergency services are working on the scene," the OVA stated.

Attacks on Zaporizhzhia

On the night of January 18, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with groups of strike drones. The attack sparked a fire on a residential property. The head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA had repeatedly warned about enemy drones being launched in various parts of the city.

The previous day, late in the evening of January 17, the Russian army struck the Zaporizhzhia district. The attack caused a fire, and the town of Vilniansk was left without electricity. According to Fedorov, boiler houses were operating on generators, and a centralized water supply was maintained with backup power.

On the morning of January 17, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones again. The strike caused a fire and damaged one of the infrastructure facilities. Fedorov released photos from the scene, confirming the scale of the destruction.
