Deadly night strike on Odesa kills 2, injures over 10, including children

Two people were killed, and more than 10 were injured in an overnight Russian attack on Odesa. Children were among the victims, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES).
Rescuers said a Russian strike hit a three-story residential building, destroying apartments and sparking a fire. Six people were injured in that incident.
Two two-story residential buildings were also destroyed. Firefighters rescued one person and evacuated 20 others, including two children. Seven people were reported injured at that site.
The emergency service also reported that an enemy drone struck another two-story building.
"Unfortunately, two people were killed, and one person was injured. Sixteen residents were evacuated from the building," rescuers said.

It is also known that SES psychologists worked at the scenes throughout the night, assisting more than 50 residents, including three children, who were in severe stress.
Overall, two people were killed in the Russian attack on Odesa overnight into Friday. According to the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, the victims were a married couple, both aged 75.
Another 15 people were injured in the shelling, eight of whom remain hospitalized. Doctors are providing all necessary care.
Emergency response efforts are ongoing, and information is being updated.
More than 140 rescuers are working at the sites.
Earlier, Ukraine's Navy reported detecting an enemy naval drone heading toward one of Odesa’s port facilities.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that on the night of April 14, Russian forces carried out a mass drone strike on the southern parts of the Odesa region, damaging port infrastructure and civilian facilities.
