Could Greece send Patriots to Ukraine? Reuters reveals

The Greek authorities have not yet raised the issue of potentially transferring Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine as part of military aid, Reuters reports.
An unnamed Greek official told the outlet that Greece is not involved in the plan to supply Patriots to Ukraine, as previously reported by the media.
"There is no question of supplying Ukraine with Patriot systems from Greece," he added.
Ukraine may receive Patriot systems
Earlier, The New York Times reported that Ukraine is expected to receive two additional Patriot air defense systems this summer.
According to the outlet, one system will be provided by Israel. It is an older model and requires significant repairs before it can be sent.
The second system, according to the journalists, may be sent either by Germany or Greece.
Today, May 5, Reuters, citing its own sources, reported that the US or Greece are being considered as potential suppliers of Patriot systems to Ukraine. Agreements on deliveries could be reached by the NATO summit in June, which will take place in the Netherlands.
Notably, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has previously emphasized that, thanks to the signing of a minerals deal with the US, Ukraine will receive American air defense systems.
