Consequences of massive attack on Kharkiv clarified

A massive drone attack on Kharkiv the evening before caused damage to warehouses, private homes, and traffic lights. One of the city's districts was hit, but no casualties were reported, according to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
As reported by Dmytro Chubenko, spokesperson for the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, Russian forces launched a drone attack on Kharkiv on the evening of April 2, striking the city for about an hour.
The enemy began the attack at 9:45 p.m. Kyiv time, using a group of Shahed-136 drones, targeting Kyivskyi district with around 14 strikes.
"This is the fifth massive shelling of Kharkiv this week," Chubenko pointed out.
According to the representative of the regional prosecutor's office, the strikes mostly targeted the industrial zone.
Two hits were recorded near private residential areas, damaging building facades, shattering windows, and causing glass breakage. Additionally, there were strikes in open areas near one of the warehouses in the central part of the city, Chubenko reported.
There were also damages to public infrastructure, such as utility poles and traffic lights, he added.
Fortunately, there were no injuries.
Drone strike on Kharkiv
As reported earlier, on the evening of April 2, a series of explosions were heard in Kharkiv amid the threat of drone strikes. The city came under attack by drones for the third time in one day.
A local official stated that the strike was carried out by the enemy on the private sector of the Kyivskyi district. It was also reported that a fire broke out at the site of the hits.
Later, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that Kharkiv had been hit by 14 drone strikes across five locations in the city - all in the Kyivskyi district.
According to him, there were minor damages to residential buildings and transport infrastructure.
Earlier, on April 2, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with a Molniya strike drone, which hit a high-rise building. In the Kyivskyi district, three multi-story buildings were damaged. As a result of the attack, five people were injured, including a child.
Additionally, Mayor Terekhov stated that March was the toughest month for the city since the beginning of the year. He mentioned that Russian attacks and the scale of destruction had doubled.
