March became the hardest month for Kharkiv since the beginning of the year. Russian attacks and the scale of destruction doubled, according to a Telegram post from the Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov.

"March is still the hardest month of the year for Kharkiv in terms of the scale of destruction. Enemy attacks have doubled, and with them, the scale of the consequences. No shelling has gone without leaving a trace," noted Terekhov.

According to him, the highest number of strikes occurred at the end of March. In total, Russian attacks damaged 219 residential buildings and shattered nearly 4,300 windows.

"Despite this, we are maintaining the pace: the outlines of the buildings are already 98% closed so that people can stay in their homes. Utility services are provided without interruption. Regarding the housing stock, 81 roofs were damaged, but we have already managed to restore half of them," said the mayor.

He added that utility workers and volunteers are working around the clock, without days off. They are restoring not only housing but also administrative buildings, schools, hospitals, roads, and infrastructure — everything that was damaged as a result of Russian attacks.

Attacks on Kharkiv

It is reported that Russian forces today, April 2, attacked Kharkiv with a Molniya strike drone. The drone hit a high-rise building.

Preliminary information indicates that four people were injured while in the apartment targeted by the drone. One of the victims is a 10-year-old child.

Also, during the drone attack last night, a series of explosions were heard in Kharkiv. Most of the impacts in Kharkiv occurred in the industrial zone, leading to fires in warehouse and production facilities.

Additionally, as a result of a strike by a Geran-2 drone, about 20 private residential houses were damaged.

In total, 8 people were reported injured, experiencing acute stress reactions. This includes four women, a man, a teenage girl, an infant, and a young boy.
