Russian forces struck Chuhuiv, a town in Ukraine's Kharkiv region near the front line, on May 23. According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, at least one person has been confirmed dead as a result.

"The enemy struck the city of Chuhuiv. Preliminary reports indicate that the occupiers launched a missile strike. As of now, one woman has been confirmed dead," the official wrote.

Two men were also injured. Medical personnel are providing them with the necessary assistance.

He added that emergency services have already arrived at the scene of the strike.

Chuhuiv is located approximately 65 kilometers from the front line.

Strikes on Kharkiv region

On the night of May 22, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Kharkiv. As a result, civilian infrastructure was damaged, and two people were injured.

Additionally, on May 20, it was reported that the occupiers used a Blyskavka drone to attack a checkpoint in the Kharkiv region.

At that time, police and National Guard servicemen sustained injuries of varying severity.
