In Ukraine, the ambassadors of China, Serbia, and Saudi Arabia began their diplomatic missions. They presented their letters of credence to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to the Ukrainian president's statement on Facebook.

"Letters of credence. Today, the new ambassadors of China, Saudi Arabia, and Serbia begin their diplomatic missions in Ukraine," Zelenskyy wrote.

According to the president, he congratulated the ambassadors on the start of their diplomatic missions and spoke with each of them.

Zelenskyy emphasized that he expects an intensification of bilateral cooperation between the countries.

Talks with the Chinese Ambassador

As clarified by the Office of the President, during the meeting with China's Ambassador Ma Shengkun, President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for China's support of Ukraine's territorial integrity. The President also emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations.

"Before the war, Ukraine and China had significant trade volumes. Naturally, we want this to be restored and for our relations to become stronger in various areas," Zelenskyy noted.

Additionally, he informed the Chinese diplomat about North Korea's involvement in the war against Ukraine and emphasized that Kyiv counts on Beijing's strong voice.

Talks with the Saudi Arabian Ambassador

President Zelenskyy thanked the Saudi Arabian ambassador for the country's energy and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, as well as for its efforts in the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war and children deported to Russia.

Additionally, the president discussed Ukraine's needs for restoring its energy infrastructure with the diplomat.

Talks with the Serbian Ambassador

During the meeting with the Serbian ambassador, President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for Serbia's financial and humanitarian aid. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining regular dialogue with President Aleksandar Vučić.

"Aleksandar supported us in a truly vital goal — achieving peace as quickly as possible. We count on continued military support," Zelenskyy stressed.

New Ambassador of China to Ukraine

The new ambassador of China to Ukraine is Ma Shengkun.

On November 21, he handed over copies of his credentials to Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yevhen Perebyinis.

As emphasized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, his diplomatic mission officially began from that moment.

Ma Shengkun started his diplomatic career in the International Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

He later served in the Permanent Mission in Geneva and the Arms Control Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

He worked as a counselor and chief clerk at the Permanent Mission in Vienna and also as a counselor in the Arms Control Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In 2019, Ma Shengkun was promoted to Deputy Director of the Arms Control Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.
