China launches shadow war against Europe – Bloomberg

Europe has recently been facing an intensification of hybrid warfare from Russia, which is being gradually joined by China, according to Bloomberg.
According to the agency, for decades, Europe was a model of peace after the Cold War. Today, it faces a prolonged hybrid war from Russia.
A campaign of intimidation, coercion, and subversive activity now surrounds Europe from almost all sides. It signals a future of tension and danger for a continent that had long regarded calm as the norm.
According to Bloomberg experts, China's involvement in European affairs is not as aggressive as that of Russia. However, Chinese ships have been involved in incidents of cutting cables in the Baltic Sea. Additionally, Chinese cyberattacks have become increasingly ambitious and widespread.
Western officials also claim there is a growing symbiosis between Russian and Chinese disinformation campaigns.
Beijing is also driving a political wedge into the transatlantic community by supporting poorer countries in southeastern Europe. Whatever their differences, both China and Russia want a weaker, more compliant Europe.
China's position on the war in Ukraine
Earlier, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiaqun accused "other countries" of fueling Russia's war against Ukraine. In his view, the war allegedly began due to regional security contradictions in Europe.
At the same time, commenting on Europe's calls to pressure Russia, he stated that China is neither a party that "ignited the conflict" nor a participant in it.
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski also noted that only China can force Russia to agree to a ceasefire with Ukraine, as Beijing has influence over Moscow.
