China has again repeated its call for "dialogue, trust, and mutual concessions" to end Russia's war against Ukraine. This message also addressed conflicts in the Middle East, according to Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi in Sofia during a briefing with his Bulgarian counterpart, Velislava Petrova-Chamova, as reported by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

China calls for peace

China has appealed to the parties involved in the Russia-Ukraine war and conflicts in the Middle East to resume dialogue and strengthen trust. This will form the basis for establishing lasting peace, says Wang Yi.

According to him, trust is the cornerstone of peace, and in the modern world, the biggest problem is its lack.

The Chinese minister said that resolving differences, from what China officially referred to as the “Ukrainian crisis” to conflicts in the Middle East, required trust, which could be strengthened through dialogue.

China makes peaceful efforts

He noted that China, as a responsible major power, is constantly working to promote peace. During meetings with Bulgarian colleagues, among other things, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the regional security situation were discussed.

China has sent a clear signal to all parties to restore trust and jointly build peace:

  • Maintain firm confidence;
  • Show persistence;
  • Engage in dialogue and consultations;
  • Demonstrate mutual understanding;
  • Make mutual concessions.

The Chinese diplomat added that China will always stand on the right side of history, fulfill its international obligations, and play an appropriate role in addressing the trust deficit and resolving crises and conflicts.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared his thoughts on a possible conversation between the leaders of the US, China, and Russia without Ukraine. He believes that the exit of the Kremlin head from isolation has already begun.

Furthermore, the US wants to conclude a new nuclear weapons agreement with Russia and China. Negotiations are underway.

The Chinese company Shenzhen Xingkai Technology will supply mesh modems for drones to Russia. This will help UAVs penetrate deep into Ukraine during attacks.
