Children injured in France crash: Zelenskyy shares new details

On June 13, a bus carrying Ukrainians, including children, was involved in an accident in France. Ukrainian diplomats have already been dispatched to the scene, according to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram.
The head of state noted that the bus was returning from an academic exchange program with a French lycée in Brittany. While en route to Paris, the driver lost control and the bus veered off the road into a ditch.
"At present, it is known that four adults were killed, three of whom are Ukrainian citizens. Two other individuals are in critical condition, and French doctors are fighting for their lives. The remaining children sustained moderate to minor injuries and are receiving the necessary medical assistance," the president said.
He clarified that a team of Ukrainian diplomats and consuls, led by Ukraine’s ambassador to France, was immediately dispatched to the scene. They are in contact with the families of the victims, as well as with French authorities and emergency services on site.
At the same time, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko are regularly providing updates on the victims and the circumstances of the tragedy.
Zelenskyy thanked France for deploying more than 50 emergency crews to transport the injured children to hospitals. The office of French President Emmanuel Macron is keeping the situation under close watch.
The head of state expressed his condolences to all the families affected.
Accident in France
As reported earlier, news of the accident involving a Ukrainian bus in France emerged in the afternoon of Friday, June 13.
Initial reports indicated that four people were killed, and at least 30 others were injured. Eleven of them are in critical condition.
