Overnight, the enemy carried out a massive combined attack on Ukraine. In the Cherkasy region, part of the area was left without electricity, according to Cherkasy Regional Military Administration head Ihor Taburets.

"Heavy night. Seven hours on alert due to a massive combined attack on our country by Russia," emphasized Taburets.

According to him, during the night the region’s air defense forces were active:

  • 13 Russian drones were neutralized.

"No injuries. That is the most important thing. Surveying of the territory continues," he added.

At the same time, Taburets said that in the Cherkasy district, power lines were damaged due to a falling drone.

"Some subscribers are without electricity. Emergency crews from Oblenergo are already working," he concluded.

Massive attacks on Ukraine

As a reminder, last night Russia launched a massive attack across Ukraine, hitting western regions hardest, including Lviv and Lviv region. The enemy used almost all available types of weapons.

Around 04:30, explosions were reported in Lviv following strikes by Shahed attack drones. Later, the city was hit by Kalibr cruise missiles launched from the Black Sea.

By morning, powerful explosions occurred in Lviv from aeroballistic Kinzhal missiles fired from MiG-31 fighters.

RBC-Ukraine reported earlier on the known consequences of the Russian attacks.

In addition to Ukraine’s western regions, Russian occupiers struck Zaporizhzhia again overnight on October 5.

As a result, tens of thousands of people were left without power.
