Russian forces once again struck Zaporizhzhia on the night of October 5. As a result of the attack, tens of thousands of people were left without electricity, according to the Telegram post by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

“Over 73,000 subscribers are without power due to last night’s enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia,” the statement reads.

Fedorov clarified that 67,000 subscribers in the regional center are without electricity, and more than 6,000 are residents of the Zaporizhzhia district.

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, energy workers have already begun restoration efforts.

“The planned completion time is by the end of the day,” added the head of the administration.

Attack on Zaporizhzhia

On the night of October 5, Zaporizhzhia experienced another combined attack by Russia. The enemy launched drones and aerial bombs on the city, carrying out at least 10 strikes.

As a result of the attack, buildings were damaged, fires broke out, and the city experienced disruptions in water and electricity supply.

In the morning, the head of the administration specified that the Russian night attack damaged eight apartment buildings, eight private houses, and non-residential buildings. One residential building sustained severe destruction.

It is also reported that nine people were injured in today’s attack, and one person was killed.
