'Ceasefire' ends - Zelenskyy on Ukraine's response to Russian attacks

Russian forces did not observe the complete ceasefire. Ukraine’s defense forces will respond symmetrically to further Russian attacks and shelling, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, as of midnight on April 21, Russian forces had violated the Easter ceasefire 2,935 times over the past 24 hours.
The highest number of shellings and assault operations was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction and Russia’s Kursk region.
"Across the front, there were 96 Russian assault attempts, 1,882 shellings of our positions - including 812 with heavy weapons - and more than 950 FPV drones were used," said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He added that Sunday, April 20, "was not enough for Moscow to respond to the proposal of a full 30-day ceasefire after Easter, nor to the suggestion to at least maintain silence in the skies over civilian infrastructure and refrain from missile and drone strikes."
"The nature of Ukraine’s response will remain symmetrical: silence will be met with silence, and defense against Russian strikes will come with our strikes. Actions always speak louder than words," Zelenskyy emphasized.
Russia’s Easter 'ceasefire'
