Casualty and fire reported in Kyiv due to falling of Shahed fragments
In Kyiv, one person was injured that night due to an enemy attack involving strike drones and the subsequent falling debris. A fire broke out in the capital but has since been contained by firefighters, according to Kyiv's Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
According to the mayor, the debris caused a fire on the roof of a private residential building in the Solomianskyi district.
"The fire was quickly contained. Medical assistance was provided to one injured person on the spot," he reported.
Additionally, the mayor noted that in the Holosiivskyi district, debris damaged a window and wall finishes in a nine-story residential building.
"There is no fire. There are no casualties," the mayor informed.
As clarified by the Kyiv City Military Administration, the injured man in the Solomianskyi district sustained facial burns.
"The injured person refused hospitalization," the administration reported.
Other reported consequences in Kyiv
Meanwhile, the Kyiv City Military Administration also reported falling debris in the Dniprovskyi district of the capital.
It was stated that this incident occurred in an open area, resulting in no fires or injuries.
Shahed attack on Kyiv
Around 12:30 a.m. Kyiv time, against the backdrop of a Russian air attack on Ukraine using kamikaze drones, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv, and a series of explosions were heard as the city’s air defense systems were active.
Additionally, the Ukrainian Air Force reported at least seven instances on Telegram regarding the movement of enemy strike drones toward the capital.
