Shahed attack: Fall of fragments in Kyiv reported
In Kyiv, debris has been reported falling in one of the city's districts due to a hostile attack involving kamikaze drones last night. There are currently no reports of possible damages, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA).
It has been reported that the debris fell in the Dniprovskyi district of the capital. Preliminary information indicates that it occurred in an open area.
"An inspection is underway. No fires have been detected. At this time, there have been no reports of possible damages or injuries," said the head of the KCMA, Serhii Popko.
He also noted that an air alert is still in effect in the capital. Residents are urged to remain in shelters and not leave safe areas until the alert is lifted.
Additionally, combat operations by Ukrainian defenders to repel the enemy air attack are ongoing in Kyiv. Around four o'clock in the morning, the KCMA reported a threat of strike drones to the capital, and air defense systems are active in Kyiv.
Night Shahed attack on Kyiv and explosions
Earlier, it was reported that on the night of October 21, Russian forces launched Shahed drones towards Ukraine during yet another attack, including towards the capital.
In Kyiv, a series of explosions were heard, and air defense systems were active in the city. Notably, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported at least seven instances of enemy strike drones moving toward Kyiv. Explosions could be heard in the vicinity of the capital multiple times after midnight.
