In Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, medical personnel and rescuers are working to save lives following a Russian aerial attack, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council.

Vilkul reported bad news and promised to provide details after the air raid alert was lifted.

"Everyone is already on site. Rescue and medical services are saving lives," he wrote.

Updated at 1:33 AM: Vilkul reported that a missile struck a civilian infrastructure building.

One woman has been killed. Four people are injured and are already in the hospital. There may be up to five more individuals trapped under the rubble.

The rescue operation is ongoing, with all emergency, municipal, and medical services actively working.

Updated at 2:20. Yevhen Sytnychenko, Head of Kryvyi Rih District State Administration, reported on Telegram that two people have been killed as a result of the Russian strike.

Six people, including two children, have sought psychological support.

Damage has been inflicted on residential buildings, shops, a public catering establishment, and vehicles.

It is noted that around 23:20 on August 26, explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih during an air raid alert. Before this, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of a threat from ballistic weaponry from the temporarily occupied Crimea. At the same time, a Russian attack using strike drones was ongoing.

Second day of massive attacks

For the second consecutive day, Russia has launched a massive attack on Ukraine using strike drones and various types of missiles.

On the morning of August 26, Russia deployed 127 missiles and 109 drones. According to the Navy, 201 aerial targets were intercepted during the air defense engagement - 102 missiles and 99 drones.

The attacks targeted energy infrastructure, leading to power supply disruptions across the country. Kyiv experienced blackouts for most of the day. The specific damaged sites have not been disclosed. On Tuesday, August 27, scheduled power outages will be implemented in several regions.
