Canadian PM: We must all double down on support for Ukraine
The Kremlin spares no resources in its effort to achieve its goals in the war against Ukraine by exhausting its allies, which is why Ukraine's partners should double down on their support, according to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
"In these challenging times… Every democracy in the world is right now facing challenging times – it would be convenient (certainly some say); we have our own problems at home, and we can’t keep up our support for Ukraine. But that’s exactly what the Kremlin wants. They (Russia –ed.) have a long view of history. They have no issue sending thousands of their citizens to di while waiting us out. That’s why we must all double down," Trudeau said in Montreal at the Ministerial Conference on the Human Dimension of the Peace Formula.
As a reminder, Ukraine organized another thematic conference on the points of the Peace Formula. This time, participants discussed the implementation of the UN Charter, the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity, and the global order.
Ukraine may consider alternative peace initiatives from China, Brazil, and other countries, which could potentially be integrated into Ukraine's peace formula.
