Russia faces largest shell losses from Ukraine attacks on warehouses - UK intelligence
Over 30,000 tons of ammunition have been destroyed in Russia due to attacks on warehouses. This represents the largest loss of shells for Russia since the beginning of the full-scale war, according to the Ministry of Defense of Britain on X.
British intelligence reminded that on September 21, Ukraine attacked Russian ammunition depots in Tikhoretsk in the Krasnodar Krai and in Toropets in the Tver region. Additionally, a few days earlier, another large arsenal in the Tver region was attacked, where at least 30,000 tons of ammunition were likely destroyed in open and bunker storage facilities.
The Ministry of Defense of Britain is convinced that these strikes will lead to at least short-term supply disruptions.
"The total tonnage of ammunition destroyed across the three sites represents the largest loss of Russian and North Korean supplied ammunition during the war," the report states.
The attacks occurred in succession, despite Russia's efforts to deploy a wide-ranging layered air defense system (including fighters) around Ukraine.
"It is highly likely this will force further dispersals in the Russian logistics chain for fear of additional strikes, increasing the burden on an already stretched system," the intelligence report notes.

Strikes on warehouses in Russia
This month, Ukrainian forces attacked at least three large warehouses in Russia containing ammunition and missiles, including those from North Korea. Two large arsenals were targeted in the Tver region, and another in the Krasnodar Krai of Russia.
According to sources from RBC-Ukraine, an arsenal storing missiles, ammunition, and first-class explosives was attacked last night in the village of Kotluban in the Volgograd region of Russia.
Sources indicate that the warehouse was attacked by 120 kamikaze drones of various types produced in Ukraine.
