Britain allocated about $9.5 mln for drones for Ukraine

The UK has allocated £7.5 million (over $9.5 million) in military aid to Ukraine. The funds will be used to purchase drones, according to the UK government.
"Today, the Government is announcing further military support of £7.5 million of funding for new attack and surveillance drones, which will be invested through the drone coalition led by the UK and Latvia," the statement reads.
The ministry clarified that the funds for Ukraine's drones were drawn from an annual £3 billion ($3.8 billion) defense funding pool.
Additionally, the UK government highlighted that the Drone Coalition would receive another £16 million ($20 million) from international contributions:
- Germany: £10 million ($12.7 million)
- Canada: £3 million ($3.8 million)
- Luxembourg: £3 million ($3.8 million)
The Drone Coalition Fund will total £67 million (over $85 million), including £15 million ($19 million) from the UK.
Drone Coalition Fund
The creation of the Drone Coalition Fund was first announced in July. The funds are used to procure drones and send them to Ukrainian defenders.
At its establishment, about €45 million was pledged to the fund.
The UK Ministry of Defence emphasized that the coalition's goal is to deliver one million FPV drones to Ukraine.
