The manufacturer says that thanks to this powerful 8-core processor, 10-core graphics accelerator, and support for up to 24 GB of combined memory, the new MacBook Air is 60 percent faster than previous models with the M1 chip.

The new chip also provides the ability to simultaneously connect two external displays, which, according to the manufacturer, compensates for one of the losses when switching from Intel to Apple Silicon.

However, both screens will be active only when the laptop lid is closed. With the lid open and the Air screen on, only one external display can be used, just like the previous models with the M1 and M2 chips.

Apple claims the title of "the world's best consumer laptop for artificial intelligence" thanks to the introduction of a faster 16-core Neural Engine.

The radio modules have been updated to support Wi-Fi 6E, which doubles the maximum theoretical download speed compared to the previous generation.

The design of the MacBook Air M3 is identical to the model with the M2 chip: a thin screen with a cutout for the camera, a flat body with thin edges, and keeping the same ports and colors. As for autonomy, the duration of work is declared up to 18 hours without recharging.

Prices for the 13-inch MacBook Air with M3 start at $1,099, and the 15-inch MacBook Air starts at $1,299. New products can be ordered in the US now, while deliveries will begin on March 8.
