Bloomberg: Trump understands that he will not be able to 'push' Kyiv into concessions without one condition
Donald Trump, who will become the President of the United States in January, is already discussing the potential end of Russia's war against Ukraine. He understands that he will not be able to force Ukraine into concessions unless it is offered something in return, Bloomberg reports.
The media outlet reminds that Trump has already held a series of phone conversations with European leaders.
One of Bloomberg's sources claims that during one of these calls, the issue of how Trump could prepare for negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin was discussed.
According to the source, Trump made it clear that he would not be able to "push" Ukraine into making concessions to Vladimir Putin if it "does not get anything in return."
US Presidential election
It is worth noting that Donald Trump won the US presidential election with a decisive lead.
Before the election, Ukraine tried to establish contact with the American politician. In particular, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Trump during his visit to the US.
During the meeting, the head of the Ukrainian state presented his plan for victory to the then-presidential candidate.
In turn, Trump assured after the meeting that he wants a "fair deal for everybody" in the context of Russia's war against Ukraine.
