Trump makes statement about war in Ukraine after his meeting with Zelenskyy
The war between Russia and Ukraine must be ended through a "fair deal," states Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump after his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Trump, in the context of the Russia-Ukraine war, he wants a "fair deal for everybody."
He also added that he "learned a lot" during his meeting with Zelenskyy.
In turn, the Ukrainian president emphasized the need to do everything possible to put pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin and stop the war.
What preceded it
On September 27, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with former US President Donald Trump in New York.
This event was quite unexpected, as just a few days earlier, it was noted that Trump did not plan to meet with Zelenskyy during his visit to the US.
During the meeting, the Ukrainian leader was set to present Trump with a victory plan that he had already discussed with US President Joe Biden and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
