The United States and China have agreed to jointly organize a meeting between their leaders, Joe Biden and Xi Jinping, according to Reuters.
A high-ranking representative of the American administration did not specify the location or conditions under which the meeting could take place.
However, another unnamed White House official stated that the meeting between Biden and Xi Jinping is likely to occur on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in San Francisco, scheduled for November.
According to several sources, preparing for the meeting of the two leaders is one of the objectives of the visit by China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Washington.
Wang Yi's visit to the United States
The Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is visiting Washington, where he has already met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
According to reports, Wang Yi's visit is aimed at preparing for the visit of China's leader, Xi Jinping, to the United States, which could take place in November.
It is planned that the Chinese President will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in San Francisco and meet with U.S. President Joe Biden.
Previously, Xi Jinping stated that China is willing to cooperate with the United States because the fate of humanity depends on it.
