Belarus opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya visited the site of the Russian strike in Kyiv and accused Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko of involvement in it, Tsikhanouskaya reported.

She stressed that Russia is trying to break Ukrainians with "fear, darkness, and constant nighttime attacks." Tsikhanouskaya noted that every strike "reveals the true nature of Putin's regime — a regime that recognizes neither human life, nor international law, nor borders."

"And the Lukashenko regime bears its share of responsibility for this because it allowed Belarusian territory to be used for aggression, for launching missiles, and for deploying Russian weapons," her statement said.

She added that Belarusians support Ukraine not because it is "politically correct," but because "we feel this pain as our own."

"We see your courage after every attack. That is true strength. And I am convinced: no missile can break a nation fighting for its freedom and dignity," the Belarus opposition leader said.

Attack on Kyiv and the region on May 24

On the night of May 24, Russia launched 90 missiles of various types at Ukraine — including the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile — and 600 drones. Air defense forces shot down 55 missiles and 549 drones.

Kyiv was the main target of the massive strike. According to the latest data, 87 people were injured, including three children. Two people were killed.

Damage was recorded in all districts of the capital. Russia targeted residential buildings, schools, and a grocery market near the Lukianivska metro station. Cultural sites were also damaged, including the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an art museum, and the Chornobyl Museum.

RBC-Ukraine visited the scene and showed the consequences of Russia's war crime in a report.
