Belarus deploys equipment and troops to border with Lithuania
Belarus has deployed a tactical group of the 19th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus to the border with Lithuania, according to the monitoring group Belaruski Gayun.
According to Belaruski Gayun, on August 31, a train carrying equipment from the 19th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus (military unit 71327) was being formed at the Zaslonovo station.
By September 1, the train was spotted on the outskirts of Minsk, moving westward.
Later that day, at 3:30 PM, the train arrived at the Gudogay station (Grodno region). The station is located seven kilometers from the border with Lithuania.
A tactical group of the 19th Mechanized Brigade was deployed to the Lithuanian border, consisting of up to two motorized rifle companies (14 BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, 2 Mul medical vehicles), a tank company (10 T-72B tanks, 1 BREM-1 recovery vehicle), one mortar battery (6 120-mm 2S12 Sani mortars), and other vehicles. In total, 38 pieces of equipment and about 250 soldiers were deployed.
"At the moment, the units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus do not pose a military threat to Lithuania," noted Belaruski Gayun.

Belarus is deploying troops to the border with Ukraine
Recently, the monitoring group Belaruski Gayun reported that, following the start of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operation in the Kursk region, Belarus had moved at least a thousand troops to the Gomel region, which borders Ukraine.
Additionally, according to Ukrainian intelligence, Belarus has mobilized its army and Wagner Group mercenaries to the border with Ukraine.
On August 25, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned Belarus against provocations, calling for the withdrawal of troops from the border to a distance exceeding the range of Belarus's current fire systems.
