The Baltic countries are "very unhappy" with the UK’s decision not to invite their leaders to the upcoming Ukraine summit in London. Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia were excluded from the event, Sky News reports.

"We are truly very unhappy with a refusal to invite the Baltic leaders," a source stated.

According to the source, the leaders of Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Poland were invited, even though both Helsinki and Warsaw have publicly ruled out sending troops for any international security force in Ukraine.

The source also claimed that the Baltic countries "have a plan… but [were] not invited."

"All three Balts are among the highest supporters for Ukraine in terms of percentage of GDP and capabilities provided," the source added.

It was further emphasized that "all decisions directly impact our security."

"Like another pact to divide Europe or take us for granted. Shameful," the source told Sky News.

London’s Ukraine summit

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is hosting a Ukraine summit on Sunday, March 2, bringing together European leaders to demonstrate united and strong support for Kyiv.

Starmer has already held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding Ukraine and invited a Turkish representative to the emergency summit in London.

This summit follows a series of meetings in Paris last week, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.
