At least 40 people have been injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s massive shelling. Among the wounded are children, according to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Altogether, in Ukraine at least 40 people are known to be injured, including children," the president stated.

Zelenskyy confirmed that in Kyiv, four people are known to have been killed, among them a 12-year-old girl.

The Russian forces struck Kyiv and the regions of Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, and Odesa today. Under fire were a bread production enterprise, an automobile tire plant, private and multi-apartment buildings, and objects of civilian infrastructure.

Consequences of Russia’s attack

During the night of September 28, Russian forces carried out a massive strike on Kyiv, Kyiv region, Zaporizhzhia, and a number of other regions of Ukraine. The Russian army used almost 500 strike drones and over 40 missiles.

In the capital, damage was recorded in six districts. In particular, in the Solomianskyi district, there was a hit on an apartment building, a gas station, and the building of the Institute of Cardiology.

In the Kyiv region, serious destruction was recorded in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka and Bila Tserkva, where the number of injured has risen to 27 people.
