Apple's largest ever: Renders of iPad with new camera design unveiled
The design of the upcoming 12.9-inch model of the iPad Air from Apple has been revealed in new CAD renders. These images showcase the overall external appearance and layout of control elements, reports 91 Mobiles.
Key details about the new iPad include its distinguishing features from previous models, such as its massive display and redesigned rear camera module. The tablet's shape resembles a notepad and has a substantial thickness, giving it a visual resemblance to the camera layout of the iPhone X and iPhone XS.
In the front view of the new iPad Air, similarities with the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro can be noticed, albeit with thicker bezels, similar to the 10.9-inch iPad Air compared to the 11-inch iPad Pro.

It is expected that this device will be targeted at those seeking a genuinely large tablet but without the excess features found in Pro models, such as ProMotion technology or a LiDAR scanner. This approach is similar to Apple's strategy with the 13.6- and 15.3-inch MacBook Air.
The source, 91Mobiles, also confirmed information that the next generation of the iPad Air will be equipped with the M2 chip. According to rumors, production of the device will commence in the first quarter of 2024, and it is likely to be available for sale, possibly in March.
