Anti-Russian sanctions package: Ukraine's President's Office awaits approval next week
The Office of the President is optimistic about the adoption of the 13th anti-Russian sanctions package, stated the advisor to the head of the President's Office, Vladyslav Vlasyuk.
The advisor to the head of the President's Office anticipates that the 13th package of sanctions against Russia will be adopted by the European Union next week.
"We hope that the 13th package will be adopted by the European Union next week. There is a discussion, but at this stage, it is normal," said Vlasyuk.
According to Vlasyuk, the discussion does not have fundamentally categorical positions. However, Hungary is currently approaching the list cautiously.
"Hungary is cautious about the list because it includes Chinese companies associated with providing satellite imaging services, including the Wagner Private Military Company, which has already been sanctioned by the United States," Vlasyuk said.
13th package of anti-Russian sanctions
In January 2024, the European Union began discussions on a new package of sanctions, intending to approve them by February 24, 2024.
Media reports indicated that the new package would include over 200 companies and individuals.
Earlier, we reported that Hungary had blocked the 13th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
