It envisages a significant expansion of the list of individuals and organizations whose assets in the EU should be frozen.
In addition, companies that contribute to the military and technological strengthening of Russia or the development of its defense and security sector will be subject to sanctions.
According to the EU's plans, additional sanctions may affect well over 200 individuals and legal entities.

In January, it became known that the European Union had begun preparing the 13th package of anti-Russian sanctions. This package is expected to be approved by the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

At the same time, the European Commission is only beginning to discuss the restrictions that will be included in the package.
