On board the large landing ship Novocherkassk of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation during yesterday's night missile strike in the bay of the temporarily occupied Feodosia in Crimea, there were almost 80 sailors, according to Russian publication Astra.

A projectile during that attack hit the bow of the landing ship, claim sources of the publication. At that moment, a powerful explosion occurred as a result of the impact, and a fire broke out.

On the Novocherkassk ship, among the crew members during the attack, there were 77 sailors, as indicated in the article.

"According to preliminary data, at least 3 of them were injured, the exact number of casualties is unknown," the material states.

Destruction of the landing ship Novocherkassk in Feodosia

Earlier, it was reported that on the night of December 26, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the large landing ship Novocherkassk of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the occupied Feodosia in Crimea.

According to the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykola Oleshchuk, this large landing ship of the enemy was hit by cruise missiles.

Later on the same day, satellite images appeared after the strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the bay of Feodosia. As seen in the frames from the Planet.com service, besides the large landing ship Novocherkassk, another vessel was partially sunk. According to media reports, this concerns the old training ship UTS-150.
