Air defense, weapons deals, and sanctions: Inside the Zelenskyy–Kellogg talks

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the US president’s special envoy, Keith Kellogg, on Monday, July 14, according to the Office of the President.
According to the head of state, the talks were productive and focused on key security issues and the future of peace.
"We discussed the path to peace and what we can practically do together to bring it closer. This includes strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, joint production, and procurement of defense weapons in collaboration with Europe," Zelenskyy said.
The president also emphasized that Ukraine expects a leadership role from the United States in deterring Russian aggression. He stressed that Moscow will not stop unless its reckless ambitions are forcibly halted. Additionally, the parties discussed strengthening sanctions against Russia and its allies.
Zelenskyy thanked Kellogg for his visit to Ukraine and also expressed gratitude to Donald Trump for his signals of support and positive decisions for both countries. The president emphasized that Ukraine values the support of the American people.
