The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine strongly condemned the visit of African diplomats to the occupied part of the Donetsk region, calling their stated goal of opposing colonialism a complete absurdity, according to a statement from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

Ukrainian diplomats expressed sincere hope that this gesture does not reflect the official position of the African Union and the Pan-African Parliament.

"In this regard, we demand that the leadership of the African Union and the Pan-African Parliament strongly condemn the visit of their representatives to the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region in Ukraine and, in the future, avoid any contact with representatives of the Russian occupation administration on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

Representatives from Ethiopia, Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, South Sudan, Comoros, Equatorial Guinea, Djibouti, Eswatini, Zambia, Somalia, and Mozambique visited the temporarily occupied part of Ukraine.

This morning, Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Yuri Ambrazevich stated that Minsk seeks a seat at the table for peace negotiations on Ukraine when they begin and that Belarus wants to receive security guarantees. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already responded to these statements.

Additionally, as previously reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine urged Hungary to stop immoral manipulations regarding the Christmas ceasefire.
