4 Russian bombs devastate Ukraine's Kramatorsk, rescuers pull people from the rubble

Russian forces struck Kramatorsk in Ukraine during the day, dropping four aerial bombs. Six people were injured in the attack, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region reports.

People were trapped under the rubble of a five-story building. During emergency rescue operations, rescuers freed two women and handed them over to medics. In total, rescuers removed 1.7 tons of building debris. The operation has now been completed.

Because the stairwell was destroyed and the apartment entrance doors were deformed, some residents were trapped inside their homes. Using an aerial ladder, rescuers helped 12 residents escape.
In addition, firefighters contained a blaze covering 500 square meters that broke out in apartments on the first through fifth floors.
As reported, Kramatorsk remains under constant Russian airstrikes. In August, Russian forces dropped guided aerial bombs on the city's apartment buildings. The attacks killed one person and injured more than a dozen others.
In early August, Russian forces struck central Kramatorsk with two aerial bombs, injuring at least 22 people.
