Magnitude 3.9 earthquake hit Burbank on Sunday night, causing weak shaking across Los Angeles, Los Angeles Times reports.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the quake struck at 10:13 p.m., with its epicenter near North Ford Street in Burbank. The tremor was classified as “light,” meaning it could make windows rattle and feel like a heavy truck passing by. People in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles Basin, and San Gabriel Valley also felt weak shaking.

A Burbank police watch commander said he noticed the quake but no damage or emergency calls had been reported by 10:30 p.m. The earthquake happened less than a mile from Los Angeles, about two miles from Glendale, four miles from Beverly Hills, and four miles from West Hollywood.

In the last 10 days, this is the only earthquake of magnitude 3.0 or higher recorded nearby. On average, Greater Los Angeles gets about five earthquakes in the 3.0 to 4.0 range every year, based on recent data.

The quake struck 9.5 miles deep underground, underscoring the region’s seismic activity.

Meanwhile, a powerful earthquake recently hit Taiwan, showing that tremors continue to shake different parts of the world.
