25 architectural landmarks damaged after massive shelling of Odesa
According to the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleh Kiper, another Russian rocket strike in the center of Odesa has damaged 25 architectural landmarks, including the Spaso-Preobrazhenskyi Cathedral.
He clarified that as of 2:00 PM, there were reports of damage to 25 landmarks. Experts are still working at the site of the rocket strikes.
Among the damaged landmarks are buildings from the 19th and 20th centuries:
- Chyzhevych's House
- Papudova's House
- Zabludovskyi's House
- Gagarin's House
- Yanush's House
- Zhdanova's House
- Russell del Turco's House
- Massa's House
- Manuk-Bey's Mansion
- Kovalevskyi's House
- Porro's House
- Mashevskyi's House, and others.
"Russians deliberately directed their rockets at the historical center of Odesa, which is under the protection of UNESCO! Everything that was created with the hard work of great architects is now being destroyed by cynical inhumane individuals," Kiper stated.
Massive strike on Odesa
Last night, Russian occupiers fired 19 rockets of different types at the center of Odesa. Air defense forces managed to intercept 9 of them. This marks the most extensive attack on the city since the full-scale war began.
Russian missiles hit the historical center of Odesa, causing partial destruction to the Spaso-Preobrazhenskyi Cathedral.
