Russian strike hits prison facility in Zaporizhzhia region, killing 16 and injuring 35

Overnight in the Zaporizhzhia region, a prison facility came under Russian shelling. Due to the attack, many people were killed and dozens were injured, the Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reports.
Fedorov said that last night the enemy shelled the Zaporizhzhia district, reportedly using eight high-explosive aerial bombs. One of the strikes hit a penitentiary facility.
"Sixteen people were killed, 35 were injured. All necessary medical assistance is being provided to the wounded," Fedorov wrote.
The Head of the Regional Military Administration clarified that the attack destroyed the facility's premises and also damaged nearby private houses.
Head of Ukraine's Presidential Office Andriy Yermak has already responded to the attack, noting that this is another war crime by Russia, which won't stop unless the Russians are stopped.
"The Putin regime, which through certain individuals also threatens the United States, must be hit with economic and military strikes that will deprive it of the ability to wage war. The threat of war in Europe is very real as long as Putin builds up the military-industrial complex and is able to draw North Korea into the war," Yermak added.
Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia region
Russian troops regularly shell the Zaporizhzhia region and its administrative center. The enemy uses drones, missiles, and guided aerial bombs for these attacks.
For instance, on the night of July 26, the region came under Russian drone attack. Due to the shelling, several fires broke out, a private home was destroyed, and a farmer's warehouse was damaged.
