1 fatality, 9 injured in a day: Russian shelling in Donetsk region
Russian military continues shelling residential areas in the Donetsk region, resulting in one casualty in the past 24 hours, according to the Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko.
The situation with shelling on various frontlines:
- in the Vuhledar direction, the Russians shelled with artillery and Grad rockets 22 times;
- in the Donetsk direction, the Kurakhiv community was shelled twice, with sporadic shelling reported in Avdiivka and the outskirts of the Ocheretyne community;
- in the Horlivka direction, 2 buildings were damaged in Chasiv Yar;
- in the Lysychansk direction, 4 buildings were destroyed in Zvanivka, and 17 more were damaged. In Siversk, 2 buildings were damaged. In Zarichne, 3 buildings were damaged.
Casualties and victims of Russian attacks
One person died in Yelyzavetivka of the Maryinka community. A child was also wounded in Kleban-Byk.

Kyrylenko also reported that the Toretsk community suffered numerous shelling and airstrikes: 6 people were injured in Toretsk, 35 buildings, 4 administrative buildings, and 2 infrastructure objects were damaged.
"In Pivdennyi, 2 people were injured; 15 buildings were damaged in Zalizne," Kyrylenko wrote.
Shelling of the Donetsk region
Russians open fire on cities and villages of the Donetsk region daily. Frontline settlements of the region, and even those relatively distant from the front, are constantly under attack. Hence, people are being urged to evacuate to safer regions of Ukraine.
Occupants recently attacked the city of Pokrovsk. As a result, 9 people were killed, and 82 others were injured.
Also, it was reported yesterday that the Russians conducted several airstrikes on Toretsk in the Donetsk region. 4 people were injured as a result of the hostile attack.
