‘Everything is on the table’: Trudeau comments on possible sending troops to Ukraine

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has stated that his country is considering all possible options to support peace in Ukraine. This includes the possibility of sending Canadian troops as part of a foreign contingent, informs The Guardian.
"Canada has looked at the ways it can best help, and as I said a few days ago, everything’s on the table," Trudeau said regarding the potential deployment of troops to Ukraine.
According to the prime minister, Canada "has been one of the strongest countries in support of Ukraine from the beginning." He noted that his country has already trained "up to 40,000 Ukrainian troops." However, he expressed a reluctance to rush into specific statements about peacekeeping.
"We’re not going to get ahead of the discussions on how to keep a peace that isn’t yet in place, but Canada will be there and is open to doing what is necessary," Trudeau said.
Trudeau also mentioned that he will meet with British King Charles III on Monday to discuss important issues.
"I can tell you that nothing seems more important to Canadians right now than standing up for our sovereignty and our independence as a nation," the Canadian prime minister emphasized.
