'They're buying our equipment': Trump comments on making money from war in Ukraine

US President Donald Trump said he does not want to profit from the war in Ukraine. However, he acknowledged that the United States is earning money as Ukraine continues to purchase American weapons, according to the President’s briefing in the Oval Office.
"I don't want to make money on that war. I don't want to, but we are actually making money on that war because they're buying our equipment, as you know," Trump said.
US military aid for Ukraine
The United States continues to provide military assistance to Ukraine, but financed by NATO member states.
Deliveries are carried out under the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) mechanism. Under this program, Ukraine compiles a list of its military needs and submits it to NATO. Partner countries then purchase American weapons and transfer them to Kyiv for the needs of the Armed Forces.
As of September 16, the Trump administration had approved two of the four planned aid packages under this initiative.
According to NATO, part of the equipment has already arrived in Ukraine, while the rest is still on the way. European countries are expected to contribute €1 billion each month to procure American weapons for Ukraine’s defense forces.
